Saturday, Sister Marjorie Arcana visited Anime STL to dress up all nice, shiny and blue and spend time with amazing folks living in their joy! She spent time getting to know folks and hanging out with The Gateway City Ghostbusters, A Ghost Buster cosplay group devoted to charity and making spaces inclusive and fun for others!

Lots of pictures were taken, she handed out business cards to let folks know SOIL was there to hold safe space for them while they dressed as their favorite characters! At one point, for a few moments, she even carried a mirror up and down a line that had formed chanting "You are beautiful." To folks as they caught a glimpse of themselves in the mirror as the blue nun passed by.

This was in honor of the Sisters who did the same for the crowd at Pride in Seattle. Sister Marjories lil baby self attended and caught their reflection in the mirror as a Sister passed chanting, "You are beautiful!"

Overall, Sister Marjorie had alot of fun on Saturday! As a side note, she ate some nachos that were FIRE and absolutely wants more! Pineapple and nachos yall. Omg yes!

FYI alot of the hateful legislation banning drag queens and trans folks absolutely affects the cosplay community. Cosplay, Anime and video game conventions are usually safe spaces for Queer folks to be open and cross dress without fear of violence. If you are a Cosplayer or love anything anime, video gamey or even anything in geek culture, this fight is about protecting your communities as well so you can let your nerd flag fly!

Sister Jewnita Hug and Sister Marjorie Arcana got WET at the Rally for Expression yesterday afternoon! Not only did they brave the rain that moved through along with some of the most beautiful and amazing people ever, they also ate some beef jerky and spread some joy around the community!

Sister Marjorie was given the honor to be one of the speakers at the event and as nervous as she was the crowd was very supportive and she was happy to be there to talk to them!

Sister Jewnita made some amazing new friends and even had their story recorded from folks who catalogue and do stories recording the history of the community through photos!

The Drag performers were amazing and we are pretty sure everyone got their life watching these performers give everything they had! Drag is an art and they were the epitome of their craft!

The Speakers were all heart felt and moved the crowd with their words of encouragement and community!

The Sisters were happy to come out and hold space for community and bless the area with beef jerky while it rained and got MOIST.

Sister Mothra teaches Tarot!

This evening, Sister Mothra spent her time teaching folks the ins and outs of Tarot while serving royal blue to the community during her class!

After she met some of the residents in the lobby and mingled and fluttered about as she is known to do when it comes to awesome people and lighting!

She also met a service dog and became fast friends with them! Said service dog tried to clean the clown white off Mothra's face and decided to try and steal one of their antennae for themselves!

This past Sunday, The SOIL Sisters were honored to attend the Picnic in the Park: Pride Edition hosted by both Rainbow Café’ (we love them to pieces!) and the Carbondale Park District (They are super awesome!). The sisters that went and were down to party and help out were Sister Fagatha Hardness, Sister Gay Bitch Milkshake, Sister Mothra Stewart and Sister Toggaf Tuls Reeuq! They helped run Sister Queereoke, met a ton of amazing people and helped create safe space for community!

Everynun was busy from Sister Mothra fluttering from the SOIL Sisters to the Beloved Puppetista's. Sister Toggaf mingled with the crowd and got down with their bad nun self singing a Queereoke rendition of "Zombie" by The Cranberries! Sister Gay Bitch Milkshake made some new very inflatable friends in awesome gear and costumes! Sister Fagatha Hardness made sure the event was safe and folks were comfortable. We arent sure if they showed a titty but we would be suprised if they didnt..... At this point Fagathas Titty is a holy relic that blesses any space that bears witness to their sacred nipple of Basilica.
