A busy hoe is a happy hoe
What we've been up to
This Saturday, Sister Marjorie Arcana was invited to read the youth for filth at the Rainbow Café Halloween Bash! You best believe Miss Marjorie brought out her Queer Tarot and made space for every person who came to her table! She met many wonderful people and youths there and felt honored to have been invited to do some work! She raised $150 dollars for community and loved every minute of it!
Thank you to Rainbow Café for the invite and the opportunity to work with and meet all the amazing peeps who attended!

Another amazing day of serving community at Food Outreach. We had the joy of running in to and connecting with two amazing LGBTQIAP+ organizations today while packing meals. Blue Max and SPECTRA with BJC. Let us tell you Sister Jewnita Hug was in leather man heaven being surrounded by so many members of the community while serving community.
Can't wait to coordinate with both these amazing organizations in the future The SOIL Sisters frolicked with Sister Unity and the vultures at Vulture Fest 2022 in Makanda IL this past Saturday. The Sun was out, the people were welcoming and amazing, Sister Unity was cleansing auras with their honorary rubber chicken that was rebranded as a vulture to fit the theme of the event! Titties were put in purses and the atmosphere was amazing!
Vulture fest is a PRIME example of the love that Southern Illinois brings to the table, the love for community and the acceptance that brings. They made the Sisters feel at home! Home is where the hoe is and the SOIL Sisters sure did a lot of hoeing around. Postulant Sister Salacious Scuttlebutt looked amazing on their first outing as a Postulant and mingled with community as any good hoe getting their bearings would do! Sister Fagatha Hardness, Sister Mothra Stewart, Sister Marjorie Arcana and Sister Gay Bitch Milkshake strutted gracefully through, into around and adjacent to the event, taking lots of photos with folks. Letting them know that we are here to bring joy, make safe space for others and fight stigmatic guilt. They spread through the community like the clap did in the 1940s bringing color and life wherever they went. We want to take a moment to thank Sister Unity for joining us in community, it was magical and simply divine to have you with us. We had a lot of fun and we love the hell out of you! Thank you for the work you did while here and for helping to spread the joy clap with us. Happy national coming out day! The SOIL Sisters celebrate you as you tell your stories and live your lives as the sacred beings you are!
Be on the look out for posts from Sisters sharing their coming out stories! may you be empowered to feel courage, feel free and love as you are speaking your truths today! This is your day! Closets are for clothes (and sometimes other junk.) Not you! P.S. if you are not in a position to come out yet, for whatever reason, you are valid seen and loved. This day is still for you too! Southern Illinois LGBTQ Fest was a resounding success and the SOIL Sisters are honored to have been apart! After all, its not a fest or a party without some dirty hoes! The SOIL Sisters raised $420 for the community between reading cards and selling wax melts! Much love to Sister Fagatha Hardness who not only made sure the House was all set up with their tent and table, (we didn't have a corner this time.) but also put together and successfully ran the event. When we say ran, trust she ran, her Cornette barely kept up with her shadow. That's a committed hoe and Abbess! Sister Jewnita showed a lot of skill and Joy helping to sell wax melts in various forms, (I heard their Glissies were the most popular and even the gayest dick loving Sister in the House had to stop and appreciate them.) swallowed a banana whole to refill their potassium stores and even taught Sister Marjorie how to summon butch lesbians! (Sister Marjorie is still working that out....) Postulant Salacious Scuttlebutt made sure the Sisters were well photographed and even grabbed us a table during a Sister emergency! They showed the House they were primed and ready to be the dirtiest hoe on the block by the cornfield near the Silo and was elevated the next day for all their work! Sister Gay B(*&^ Milkshake hung out with the Sisters and the Fine & Bawdy Wenches sharing joy through song and making sure we had just enough duck tape to tuck, I mean hang up flyers of Sister Unity's performance and visit! Sister Mothra Stewart popped their festival reading cherry, reading all the beads as they say it and having some adorable moments with family and children. She even was gifted the ring they had been holding ransom since June! They read them cards with grace and wisdom, the mark of a good hoe is to leave their clients satisfied and happy. Mothra is a good hoe. Sister Marjorie helped to read them cards and sell them wax melts as well, they met many wonderful people and ate their lipstick the entire time they talked. Not content with just reading people for filth she showed her chicken cutlet sized boobs to the musicians, Mothra and at one time the whole tent. In a past life she may have even burned a bras. Much love and thanks to Rainbow Café and all who helped make this dream a success! Much love to all performers and vendors that came out to support community. Glittery Blessings! SOIL Sisters |
