Blissfully blistered and burnt but that means a dirty hoe did their job right!

How can we sum up in to words what we experienced yesterday in St. Louis for PrideFest 2022. Blissfully sunburnt and blistered but basking in the ever amazing Love Glow that comes from serving and sharing space with community. The theme this year was Together Again and yes we were! Yesterday was our inaugural participation in the Pride Parade in St. Louis. Together, with the amazing youth of Rainbow Cafe LGBT Youth Center we arose at dawn (okay that may be a slight stretch for some of us but not all of us!) to travel the 2 hours by bus (with scheduled potty breaks and the obligatory McDonalds breakfast stop) to the Gateway City to meet up with fellow SOIL Sisters, Sr. Marjorie Arcana, Sr. Gay B*tch Milkshake and Sr. Jewnita Hug.

As we arrived at the meet up spot we were immediately embraced by both the participants in the parade as well as the amazing LGBTQIA+ community who call St. Louis home. The rain couldn't even stop these dirty hoes from spreading the good word of the Babadook to those near and far. Finally we took to the streets after what felt like hours (okay it was like 1.5 hours of waiting around for some of us) to show the Gateway City exactly who Rainbow Cafe and the SOIL Sistes were and let us tell you they know EXACTLY who these dirty hoes are. Other houses werent joking when they said be prepared to stop every 5 feet. Pretty sure Sr. Mothra took the world record of selfies with crowds. Sr. Jewnita somehow managed to become honorary Sister for at least 5 different groups during the 1 mile extravaganza. Sr Fagatha clacked their fan while Sr. Milkshake and Marjorie shouted joy and love to everyone while our dearly missed Sr. Toggaf shouted encouragement that we were close to finishing (St. Louis you have some long long coc.....blocks....yeah blocks).

By 5 pm we all loaded our bus exhausted, sore, burnt but joyful...Joyful of being able to be together almost as a complete house (Sr Kitty and Sr IDKTBD sadly were not there) and also to be able to spread the joy and love that we as Sisters have cultivated. Thank you St. Louis, Pride STL, the amazing youth of Rainbow Cafe and especially to every single person we were able to spend time with while here. We will be back
.. you cant keep a dirty hoe down for long
