Frolicking with Vulture Fest 2022!

The SOIL Sisters frolicked with Sister Unity and the vultures at Vulture Fest 2022 in Makanda IL this past Saturday. The Sun was out, the people were welcoming and amazing, Sister Unity was cleansing auras with their honorary rubber chicken that was rebranded as a vulture to fit the theme of the event! Titties were put in purses and the atmosphere was amazing!

Vulture fest is a PRIME example of the love that Southern Illinois brings to the table, the love for community and the acceptance that brings. They made the Sisters feel at home! Home is where the hoe is and the SOIL Sisters sure did a lot of hoeing around. Postulant Sister Salacious Scuttlebutt looked amazing on their first outing as a Postulant and mingled with community as any good hoe getting their bearings would do! Sister Fagatha Hardness, Sister Mothra Stewart, Sister Marjorie Arcana and Sister Gay Bitch Milkshake strutted gracefully through, into around and adjacent to the event, taking lots of photos with folks. Letting them know that we are here to bring joy, make safe space for others and fight stigmatic guilt. They spread through the community like the clap did in the 1940s bringing color and life wherever they went.

We want to take a moment to thank Sister Unity for joining us in community, it was magical and simply divine to have you with us. We had a lot of fun and we love the hell out of you! Thank you for the work you did while here and for helping to spread the joy clap with us.
