A busy hoe is a happy hoe
What we've been up to
Sister Marjorie decided to invade Missouricon with the Gateway City Ghostbusters today! Her mission was clear, prove to a crowd of folks dressed up as their favorite characters that drag queens aren't out to get them or their children. While of course making sure she didn't get stuck in a bathroom stall again. Mission was an absolute success! She met a wide range of folks, shared some love and ever cheered folks on as they competed in the costume contest. Both children, teens and adults alike! She got to meet with authors and artists, cosplayers and vendors of all ages and guess what? NO ONE LOST THEIR SOULS BECAUSE THEY MET HER NOR WERE THEY HURT IN ANY CAPACITY BECAUSE SHES A DRAG QUEEN. WE ARE SHOOKETH. I guess drag artists and queens really aren't that scary perverted or dangerous huh? Sister Marjorie's biggest mission and motto is representation matters always and the more people and families see folks like us, they safer the environment for everyone becomes because they realize we aren't a threat. Her favorite memory of today was walking into the lobby and being met by three teenage boys and their mom. The boys were excited, they complimented Sister Marjorie and they were so excited to take pictures with them. When the mom turned around to see what the commotion was about, she got confused at first but then allowed them to pose for pictures with Sister Marjorie. The boys even did jazz hands! The mother then came up to Sister Marjorie and they all took a selfie together, she learned who the Sisters were and she was able to join in on the fun! That family went towards the elevator happy and the teenagers kept waving and saying how cool it was to meet a drag nun! Representation matters.
